For starters, one of the popular choices is the Fish Tacos which consist of smoked tofu in seaweed with spinach and mayonnaise, all served in fresh-made tacos. Situated just a few minutes walk from Riverside Studios, which is a performing arts theater, The Gate is the place to be for a laid-back atmosphere right in the heart of Hammersmith. Be ready for the absolute treat thanks to their menu full of South Indian delicacies and even Bombay street food style dishes. One of the popular vegan starter is the Kancheepuram Idli which is a traditional rice and lentil dumplings with green chili, pepper and cashew nuts, served with red chutney and sambar.

As for a Bombay Chowpati Special, go for the vegan Pani Puri which is a small crispy poori served with chickpeas, sour and spicy consomme. Or the vegetarian Sev Puri is a tasty choice which is crispy poori prepared with onions, tamarind, coriander, garlic chutney and yoghurt garnished with sev.

We think vegetarian will fall in love with their Vegetable Biriyani which consists of basmati rice cooked with vegetables and homemade spices served with vegetable kurma, raitha and salad.

5. The Blue Boat

Enjoy a relaxed atmosphere at this dog-friendly pub serving some delicious vegetarian food, including that all-important spacious outdoor patio for drinks while soaking in the rays!

For those who are looking to let their hair loose and enjoy some drinks and incredible food by the water, we’ve got the perfect pub for you!

Although not solely vegetarian or vegan, The Blue Boat just had to be included on our list for its super inviting and spacious outdoor patio next to the water, as well as their selection of mouth-watering vegetarian dishes.

This dog-friendly pub has a warm and appealing interior with plenty of booth seating and bar stools for a casual drink or two. We couldn’t recommend their patio enough for some delicious food and quality drinks under the sun. Choose from their main menu and sandwich menu on weekdays, and they even have a separate Sunday menu – what’s not to like?

If you want to start with something light and fresh, their Watermelon & Barrel Aged Feta Salad which also has spiced cashews is an excellent choice.

We also highly recommend their Vegetarian Platter For 2 which comes with a selection of pulled jackfruit taco, cauliflower pakora, spinach & potato samosa, mac’n’cheese croquettes, as well as harissa & roast garlic hummus.

And if you’re still hungry after these starters, one of the popular vegetarian mains is the Pan-Fried Ghocchi with roasted shallots, tender stem broccoli finished with blue cheese glaze and toasted pine nuts – a must for Italian food lovers.
