8. Sotto
Who doesn’t love an unforgettable unique fine dining experience? Sotto is just that thanks to its unparalleled basement setting – perfect for a romantic dinner.
From the outside the brick exterior looks nice but nothing special, but you’ll descend down stairs into an atmospheric and dimly-lit dining space where chandeliers hang from the ceilings and candles light up the tables.
It’s not all looks and little substance though. This spot offers you rustic Italian cuisine in a beautiful and cozy setting featuring austere brick walls and wooden interior. It may be fine-dining but the atmosphere is still relaxed, and it’s a place where cocktails are dished out as much as the delicious appetizers are.
But the real reason many visit Sotto is you can get some of the best pasta Cincinnati has to offer at this special spot.
We recommend their Cacio E Pepe, Rigatoni Con Pomodoro and Tagliatelle Con Funghi.
Of course you’re eating Italian, and the unwritten rule when dining Italian style is you have to have a glass of vino! So have a look at their impressive wine cellar, there’s loads to choose from which will only add to your special romantic or celebratory dinner.
