When we say you can’t get food fresher than this, we mean it!
This amazing vegan-friendly and vegetarian restaurant in Hilton Head is located on a 0.07 acre lot and offers you a large variety of tasty dishes, juices and smoothies. All prepared with organic ingredients that are grown in their garden and can be spotted from their kitchen window.
Situated close to the pretty Sea Pines Forest Preserve, this restaurant is the ideal spot for you to enjoy a delicious exclusively vegetarian breakfast, lunch and brunch. We also love that they have a focus on health and wellness – perfect if you are looking for a menu consisting of 100% organic ingredients.
They have a large variety of vegetarian farm-to-table style food to choose from, including vegan and gluten free options, but what we recommend is trying their Acai Bowl, So-Cal Wrap and Massaged Kale Salad. We also loved customizing our Super 6 Smoothie, where amongst other things, you can choose 2 fruits and 1 superfood for your beverage.
Kids will be delighted too with the large array of frozen yogurt – the Queen Bee is a must due to the selection of berries, kiwi and honey.
This is easily one of our favorite vegan-friendly and vegetarian restaurants in Hilton Head. It’s open from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 6pm and closed on Sunday.

2. The Green Kitchen
If you’re looking to grab some amazing vegan food and head to the beach, The Green Kitchen is the easy choice – fuss-free order online and pick-up or delivery options.
This relatively new vegan spot serves you some incredible dishes, including smoothies and juices, all prepared with an abundance of fresh ingredients. They’re guaranteed to serve up big flavor (we tried it and loved it!).
Their plant based vegan meals are packed with nutrient-dense ingredients such as superfoods; kale, sweet potato and beans. With rotating weekly vegan choices on the menu, there’s no doubt that these creative and unadorned dishes will allow you to experience meals closest to its true essence.
If you have a sweet tooth, we highly recommend trying their Vegan Carrot Cake and Brownies – we were pleasantly surprised to how delightful they were.

Vacations and healthy eating can sometimes be quite demanding if you are not well acquainted with a new place. But we’ve got you covered with this trendy restaurant, which serves a large variety of organic salads, juices and smoothies.
Situated close to the mall, this is the perfect healthy and nutritious spot after your shopping spree. Packed with an array of superfoods, the portions are very filling and if you require more assistance in your order, the very informative and friendly staff are happy to help.
Vegans will undoubtedly enjoy the soups and the Vegan Poké Bowl, and if you are looking for gluten free options we recommend their large variety of Overnight Oats or the Acai Bowl.
The vegetarian Bagels, Wraps and Stir-fry Noodle Salads are some of the locals’ favorites – plus you can customize any order. We loved their delicious and filling smoothies and green juices and if you’re feeling adventurous, the immune-boosting Fire Shot is a must!

To make your stay in Hilton Head have an even more exotic feel, Al’s Aloha Kitchen will be just the perfect tropical touch you need. Authentic Hawaiian cuisine, bursting with flavor and freshness which is guaranteed to get you in the island mood.
Famous among locals for their Signature Superfruit Bowls and Poké Bowls, this casual restaurant with beachy, relaxed vibes, surfboard décor and Hawaiian Reggae music playing in the background is sure to impress.
Although not exclusively vegan or vegetarian, we just had to include this spot on our list of vegan and vegetarian restaurant in Hilton Head for the great price point, quality ingredients and big portions.
Whether you are vegan/vegetarian or not, this amazing spot situated close to Coligny Park and mall has a large selection of delectable food – perfect to satisfy all taste buds, even those who are not used to plant based dishes.
We highly recommend trying their Dragon Bowl (contains local honey) and Banzai Bowl; prepared with organic açai, without compromising the beneficial nutrients of the food. Their Poké Bowls can be customized to accommodate any dietary requirements too – so feel free to add your own touch.
Their Smoothies and Fresh Pressed Juices will not fall short of your expectations as well. We love the sour kick in the Oma’Oma’O Green Juice and their famous Pitaya Smoothie which keeps people coming back for more.

Fine dining and an array of vegan and vegetarian choices don’t usually go hand in hand, but The Studio is an exception. If you’re on the hunt for an artistic dining experience during your stay in Hilton Head, then this place will exceed all your expectations. Expect an upscale international menu in a fine art gallery setting with exquisite vegetarian options.
The Studio shows its vegan and vegetarian friendly side right from the beginning, with a large variety of vegan and vegetarian starters and entrees to choose from. Grab one and settle down for the night as you will be wanting to stay a while – this fine dining restaurant will have you entertained thanks to the live music from guest acoustic musicians.
Expect large portions and excellent service and we can’t recommend their Buffalo Cauliflower, Vegan Soup du Jour, Vegan Chorizo Wontons and Vegan Tuna Roll enough.
Their Vegan Hippie Loaf and the Eggplant Jambalaya are both loved by many. Regardless of what you choose, you will be able to enjoy it surrounded by beautiful art and very helpful and informative staff. Fancy dessert? How about their super decadent Vegan German Chocolate Torte!
With a variety of special menu options that accommodate vegan, vegetarian and gluten free requirements, as well as an extensive wine list, this fine dining experience is an unforgettable experience.

It’s Greek To Me is a casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating area – perfect to catch up with family and friends in the sunshine, while tucking into some delicious vegan and vegetarian food. This restaurant serves authentic Greek cuisine and is located close to Coligny Beach Park and a mall, making it a great stop to replenish after your adventures.
The extensive menu here will please all taste buds, and you will absolutely love the large array of tasty fresh ingredients. There’s soups, pizzas, wraps and salads to choose from – a variety that has made this restaurant a go-to lunch spot for locals.
We recommend trying their Saganaki ‘Opa’ which is flaming Greek cheese, served with pita. Or try the Veggie Pizza, Vegetarian Soup of the Day or their Chickpea and Artichoke Salad – you won’t be disappointed. The big portions and excellent vegetarian options will keep you full and happy.

7. Ruan Thai Hut
Since we’ve already shown you some global vegetarian cuisine to try, Thai cuisine had to be included in our mix of the best vegetarian restaurants in Hilton Head.
Ruan Thai Hut is a delightful Thai restaurant close to the Palmetto Dunes, which is an award-winning golf and beach resort hotel. So perfectly located for some après golf food.
This restaurant offers you a relaxed atmosphere, comfortable seating in an uncluttered environment. This great spot uses the freshest ingredients, with all vegetarian dishes prepared from scratch using century old recipes.
The excellent lunch and dinner menu offers both vegan and vegetarians a large variety to choose from and you can substitute any non-vegetarian protein for tofu and vegetables. We highly recommend their Tofu Cashew Nut, Pad Thai Noodle, Drunken Noodle and the Fried Rice – you won’t leave disappointed.
This vegetarian-friendly restaurant in Hilton Head is open for lunch on Monday to Friday from 11am to 2:30pm, and on Saturday from 12pm to 2:30pm. As for dinner, Ruan Thai Hut is open from Monday to Thursday from 5pm to 9pm, and Friday and Saturday from 5pm to 9:30pm.

8. Mellow Mushroom
This super funky, lively restaurant, brimming with art is full of character and incredible vegan, vegetarian and gluten free pizzas. Famous for their eclectic décor with gravity defying bikes hung alongside the lamps, as well as a booth designed after a trolley; this spot will certainly amaze children and maybe confuse adults after they’ve enjoyed a few too many of Mellow Mushroom’s great cocktails!
Although not solely vegetarian, we included this spot on our list of vegan and vegetarian restaurants in Hilton Head for the excellent pizzas, pretzel bites, and salad, all freshly made and that’s clear in the taste. We recommend their Pretzels served with Beer Cheese Dip, Holy Shitake Pizza and the Kosmic Karma and Veg out Pizzas – they’re crave-worthy favorites.
Booking or ordering in advance might be a good idea since this place is usually busy, but the friendly and attentive staff are always happy to try and accommodate you. While the food alone puts Mellow Mushroom on our list of the best vegetarian restaurants in Hilton Head, the fact that they’re pet-friendly is a bonus too as your four-legged friend can stay with you on the outdoor seating area.
